Leasing agents are likely employed by the landlord or management company, so if it’s a manager-specific question, wait until you hear from either the landlord or property manager before you sign the lease agreement.

Every renter should have renters insurance because it protects you from events out of your control. That being said, you want to ensure your renters insurance plan is in compliance with the lease.
